ANYONE FOR SOME LOVE LOVE LOVE------Fancy is a Chihuahua Mix, probably mixed with a Rat Terrier. Fancy looks more like a Rat Terrier and is about 10lbs or so. She is a very, very sweet and lovable dog that was abandoned when her owner had to go to a nursing home. She was left alone in a house until she was rescued by CRU. She has a great disposition, is good with kids, and other dogs (although she is submissive). She does have a leg issue, as her left back leg isn't perfect. She was hit by a car as a pup, and they are somewhat not the way legs usually look. However, she can walk ok, but will not run, and she is just a love. She is very desirous of affection, and loves to be with people. If you are looking for a true cuddle bug, she is the dog for you. Fancy is doing very well with the house breaking, she even goes down the steps with no problem. every now and again she will have an accident in the house, but always on the pad. Scrappy is the sweetest dog you could ever meet. Wouldnt hurt a fly, not a mean bone in his body. Even with his sad history, all he wants is someone to love him. Scrappy would have found a home very quickly as he is also absolutely adorable. He looks like a small red desert fox. He only weighs 9 lbs. Unfortunately, Scrappy was born with bilateral grade 4/4 luxating patellae (both knees). Because he is not even a year old yet, he ambulates "okay" in his own funky way, very sad to watch though. Even sadder, without surgery, the deformity is deblitating and, over time, he will not be able to walk at all. As his foster mom and knowing this, it really hurts as this dogs LOVES life. He tries so hard to keep up with the other dogs and be normal. Over the few weeks he has been here, not only do I see his deformed walk and run, he cant even bend his leg in a way to scratch behind his ear. And I think his knees sometimes get sore from trying to be a normal dog. :( Chi Rescue wants nothing more than to find Scrappy a home where he can bring love, happiness and joy to some lucky family AND where he can live to be a ripe old age, but we must fix his knees first to make that dream come true. This is Bubba, a very adorable little guy with a new lease on life. He lived with his elderly mommy and his furry mommy for 6 years. When his human mommy passed his furry mommy went to another rescue and is doing great. Bubba is slowly adjusting. He has not been around a lot of humans as when his human mommy had company she secluded him in a room. He is coming around though. He was sad and confused, but is now cuddling again. I am a sweet, very laid back little boy - you hardly know I'm there sometimes! I was an owner surrender because I started having seizures but now they happen fairly infrequently, I am under doctor's care right now and doing great. I haven't had a seizure in a month and am actually feeling great and playing with the other dogs in my foster home. Due to my vet being in Crown Point In my foster mom thinks it's best I am adopted in the state of Indiana or one of the surrounding states. Please consider adopting me. Reggie was found by a lady in Dayton who was kind enough to travel 4 hrs to bring him to me. Ol' Regg settled right into his foster home making his way down to the kennel and the barn as he helped with the chores. He's a perfect gentleman and quiet as a mouse. At night he'll jump in bed and sleep against your back under the covers. Other dogs, cats, horses, geese - he's cool with all of them. He was already neutered when found so we're getting him ready for his first trip to the vet and he'll be good to go! UPDATE: Reggie's teeth were alot worse off than thought - he had a total of 13 pulled! I told him the Tooth Fairy doesn't carry that much cash on her and to just put a few at a time under his pillow. The nice thing about Reg is that he's not pesty if you're eating. Loves to go for walks and rides in the car. Now how can you resist those crinkled up ears???

Wiggles was orginally adopted as a puppy and his mommy could not care for him any longer. He is a very sweet little guy and loves kids. He is a Chihuahua/Carine Terrier mix so he has a unique and beautiful coat. Please consider Wiggles as the angel you will be taking home forever.

I'm a "tug-o-war" kinda guy - I can play sorta rough. I chase balls - then chase my tail! I'm crate trained and listen very well. I'd be good in a houseful of boys. Update: Butters is doing sooo great at her foster home. She hardly shows her teethies or bites, and when she does it is usually b/c the other dogs are touching her or trying to play with her. She is a one dog family kinda gal, but with people, she is just a love. She is soooo sweet and such a ham, she makes us laugh all day long! She would do best as the only dog. I came into rescue a total mess. Somebody had dipped me in motor oil - maybe they thought I had mange - but really it was just hair loss due to flea allergies. My bald back was covered in scabs and blisters, and my front teeth had been knocked out. My foster mom bathed me 3 times trying to get the oil off my skin, but my scabs starting coming off and my skin was getting raw. She rubbed ointment on me and hugged me. I growled and showed her my teeth. For the first couple weeks I didn't know what to think of the affection. I couldn't tell if she was being sweet - I just waited for her to hurt me, sure that it was all a trick. Now I can't wait for hugs and kisses! I jump and bark for her attention and try to run up her leg into her arms. I still growl and show my teeth, but I don't mean it, and she kisses my face anyway. When she stops, I nudge her for more love. I may always growl, just so you know that if you try and hurt me I'll fight back - I gotta be a tough girl. But my foster mom loves me and my silly ways, and I love her too. She says her job is to show me that I can trust people, to make me a happy dog and then find somebody that will love me like she does forever and ever. I'm very unsure, but I'm willing to give it a shot, because secretly I do trust my foster mom and her judgement - but don't tell anybody!! Hi everyone my name is Annie. I came from a puppy mill and I sort of like this human thing. I keep watching to see what's going on. I have a real tiny face but am a little overweight. You would be too if you had puppies all the time. I am so glad I don't have to do that any more. I get to sleep and stay cool in the house. I do not understand that going outside to go potty but I'm smart and I will learn. I just want to be happy and have someone love me like I loved all my puppies. Cookies-N-Milk (Cookie) is a docile little man but needs to be the dominant male. He barks because he is the 150 lb. guard dog in the house. He is not aggressive but will let you know if someone is coming in the house or around the house. He has yet to be neutered but is fully vaccinated. He is not housebroken but is good with cats, other dogs and children. Cookie is not a lap dog or snuggler. He is very independent and does not like to share food with other dogs, you will need to feed him alone. I'm thinking that once he finds his furparents he will soften right up and become the little lover boy that I think he is.

Katie is a playful little girl. She is appoximately 4 years old and weights 12 lbs. She is good with other dogs. Katie loves to be the center of attention and will beg you to pet her. She is learning to sit for treats and cheese is her favorite treat.

My foster mom has started calling me "Mr. Bogart" because of the way I stick out my chest and cock my head to the side. I am improving a lot in the having a home thing. I am a Big Boy and boy do I know it. I still run from you till I get to know you. I have started coming out of my crate a lot more. If you take me outside, I will go to the potty. If I am in my crate I will stand up on the side of the door and bark if I have to go out. I have this cute little quirk where, when I finish going potty, I stick my legs out of the back of my body one at a time. Hey, a big boy like me needs to stretch. I am still a little skittish (but I never bite!!) when you pick me up but have come a long way according to my foster mom. I would be better off with someone who lives alone or with a quiet couple that can spend the one on one time I need so I can trust humans more than I have already. No children, please, as little hands make me nervous. Give me a home and I will show you just how big I can be.

Cissy is 14 years old, not a young dog. She is adorable though she has cataracts and I think that since she doesn't see well, sometimes when she catches sudden movements she tends to bark. She doesn't have any major medical issues either. She will definitely need to be adopted by someone with no small children. She does tend to be a one person dog, and likes to be near her foster mom a lot, though not necessarily on her lap, simply up against her. Cissy would be best with few or no other dogs. She is kind of past the rambunctious stage.
